Becoming/Lost

Becoming/Lost was a journey that began with complete confidence and genuine curiosity and resulted in perfectionism. This painting is the last of my floral series, a collection in which I fully embraced painting largely, freely, and loudly.

I spent a whole month exploring this painting. It was a discussion where I constantly found myself asking: "How do I know when it is good enough for me?" My tendencies to overthink slowly manifested in the painting - every shape and color became intentional, allowing me to embrace both the playful and purposeful parts of self.
